How to Cheer Up When Nothing Is Right?

Pandemic, lockdown, and lack of motivation what a combination.

Like most human beings, this pandemic had its own damage to our souls. Some people are blessed to not sense pain, failure, or grief because of this. But no one survived this without a worried soul.

Wave after wave, we gave up any hope of having our regular life back. Some had depression or early anxiety. They just knew with no expert advice. A glance of hope is rare, and we get driven into a world of sadness and doubt. Cheering up is sometimes not an option. There is no escape.

Knowing that because of all this sadness in this world, I can’t blame my friend for not responding to my calls. And my partner can’t show his irritation if I don’t text him first. We normalized silence, and we tolerated actions.

Because of lockdowns, we lost touch with friends. And believe me, virtual calls only deepen the miss. It was otherwise my responsibility to get myself together. And go out in the dark. And this is what I did:

I stop watching the news

Easy as it seems, I cut any source of dreadful report, drama, or crisis. I prefer to not be aware rather than be frustrated by it. Instead, I filtered any origin of destructive energy. And stop listening to toxic influencers.

Tip: I recommend reducing the use of any social media that you feel that it’s toxic.

I cut the drama

We are all on our nerves and full of negativity. If you show any bad vibes, I am sorry to have you away for a moment. There is no need to take it personally.

Tip: Don’t be that friend also, stop blaming!

I understood my emotions

I accepted the fact that I am not feeling okay and I am out of control over what is happening. I tried to clean my energy and protect it.

Tip: There are plenty of videos to inspire you on the internet.

I took care of my health

I forced myself to go out and to have some fresh air. I reduced the amount of sugar I take per day and lost some weight. This will definitely encourage you up!

Tip: I set a goal of walking for 10 K steps per day, and the days when I hit it, The feeling is amazing!

Final thoughts

Will this work magically? no. There is one step: are you willing to never give up and keep chasing what you want?

If the answer is yes, welcome to your journey of cheering up. You are eager to start when you want. No pressure! You can start again whenever you want.

Your life, your rules!

I hope this helps your unhealed souls to have their freedom back!

Take care!
